How do I know who is on

my ballot?

Voter Guides

These guides give information on candidates and ballot measures, listing voting choices and describing candidates' background and goals. They also explain ballot measures, which are questions or issues you can say yes or no to!
  • Find online voter guides by home address nationwide here!
Sample Ballots
Sample ballots simply show the elections, candidates, and any ballot measures that will be on the real ballot. They do not provide information about the candidates like the voter guides do.
  • Your state may mail you a sample ballot or let you download one from its election site.

How can I vote?

Vote-by-mail Ballot
Registered voters can apply for a vote-by-mail ballot in their county by clicking here or contacting their County Clerk.
Voters can return their completed election ballot by one of the following ways:
  • Mail -  The vote-by-mail ballot must be postmarked on or before 8:00 PM on Election day and be received by your county's Board of Elections on or before the sixth day after the close of the polls.
  • Secure Ballot Drop Box - Place the vote-by-mail ballot in one of your county's secure ballot drop boxes by 8:00 PM. Drop box locations can be found here.
  • Board of Elections Office -  Deliver your vote-by-mail ballot in person to your county's Board of Election's office by 8:00 PM on Election Day. County Election Officials' contact information can be found here.
In-Person Early Voting
This option allows for all registered voters to cast their ballot in person, using a voting machine, during an in-person early voting period prior to Election Day.
No matter where you live in the county, you can vote your specific ballot at any of your county's designated in-person early voting locations. Find out more about In-Person Early Voting and your county's locations here.

At your polling place on Election Day
