Community Advocates - a
community-based program that provides individualized support, education and
advocacy services for adult persons with mental illness.
Boarding Home Outreach -
provides services to Atlantic County’s 16 Boarding Homes and
Residential Health Care Facilities.
Community
Education - staff work with local non-profits, schools,
churches, police, and civic groups to offer educational programs on a variety
of mental health related topics.
Intensive Family Support
Services - a comprehensive program of supportive services and
activities designed to assist families who have a relative with mental
illness.
Acute IFSS Care Family
Support- support services are offered to
families whose relative is in the process of being screened for a
psychiatric hospital admission.
Parent Education - Since
1992, MHAAC has become a leader in parenting education - conducting over 100
parent education programs to more than 1,200 families in Atlantic and Cape
May Counties.
Peer Outreach Support Team
- Consumer-providers offer
other mental health consumers assistance in linking to concrete services,
advocate with consumers on both an individual and systems level, and serve
as role models.
