The Mental Health Association was awarded money to purchase a building for the ICE Self Help Center. This year the building was purchased and extensive renovations will begin soon. The new center will be located at 30 North Main Street in downtown Pleasantville, easily accessible from the bus station. Please watch for pictures as the building begins to take shape.

The purpose of a Self-Help Center is to provide an environment of support and empowerment that promotes wellness, which is a state of social, spiritual, mental/emotional and physical health for consumers living in New Jersey. The center offers a variety of recreational activities, self help groups, individual advocacy and education/training in several areas. The greatest motivating factor of the center is the enthusiasm of the facilitators, ICE is an 'idea' that started in a Church basement that grew to become a recognized community resource.
